HH - What's left of me. Ch.1

A.E.D. had thought after High School his days of patrolling would be over, but that had been before he joined the police force. Now he was making his rounds around the lower city, checking for trouble. Which never seemed to be far away.
"Where's my money, Des? You know better than to lie to me, so where is it?" A voice asked sweetly from around the street corner.
As .D rounded the corner he grabbed his gun.
"Here, damn it, Redback. I think you broke my wrists."
"At least I didn't break your neck. Next time just give me my money, Dez." The voice was still cheerful.
"Fuck you." 'Des' stalked off down the street.
Redback was stuffing the money into a suit jacket pocket.
Raising the gun .D growled, "One move and I'll blow out your fucking brains."
The man turned with a strange expression on his face. It seemed a mixture of amusement, shock and ... something else.
.D noted that the man also wore goggles on his head. A strange trademark.
".D, A.E.D," The goggled man grinned ambiguously, "Long time, you bastard, where the hell have you been?"
.D was confused, he didn't know who the fuck the man was, but he'd just forcibly robbed someone and .D was taking him in to get him checked out.
"Shut up. You have the right to-"
"If you say remain silent, A.E.D, I'm gonna fuckin' kick your ass. Do you really not recognize me?" The tone of voice never changed, it continued to be pleasant as the grinning man stepped closer to .D.
Trying to place the man in his mind, .D lowered his gun. Who the fuck was this guy? A drug lord that's for sure, but .D didn't know any of them personally.
"Who the fuck are you?" .D snarled.

Izm shoved the wad of cash into his pocket wearily, it had been a long night; three fights and he'd only been paid twice. Fuck he must be losing his edge.
"One move and I'll blow out your fucking brains." A voice growled at Izm.
Shit, not again, Izm  thought as he turned and saw - no way - A.E.D. pointing a gun at him? Izm's gun slipped into into place while his thoughts raced.
Oh god, .D. The last time he'd seen him, he'd been asleep and Izm's hair had been a disgusting color. Now .D was standing in front of him, holding a gun.
".D,  A.E.D," Izm would know those fang bangs anywhere, "Long time, you bastard, where the hell have you been?" Izm felt euphoric at seeing .D again, but .D was still pointing the gun at him, and if that wasn't enough of a joy-killer, .D's confused look definably was.
"Shut up. You have the right to-"
Oh no you don't, Izm thought, You are not getting off that easy .D. You can't just go back to hating me, not after what we had.
"If you say remain silent, A.E.D, I'm gonna fuckin' kick your ass. Do you really not recognize me?" Izm swore the bastard was fucking with him, but he wasn't ready to be shot on that gamble. Stepping closer to .D, Izm was ready to take the gun if he had to.
There was no need though, A.E.D. lowered the gun to his side. Izm nearly sighed in relief.
"Who the fuck are you?" .D snarled.
"You really don't remember?" That hurt, it hurt a lot, so Izm's grin grew wider.
"You bitched at me for all my sordid habits nearly everyday and would get pissed off because i broke something that wasn't mine and you'd bandage me up while lecturing me- And like a fuckin' dumbass, you jumped in front of four bullets for me once. Don't you remember .D, you saved my life?"
